On Friday 9th November, we held an afternoon tea to commemorate the 100 year anniversary since the end of the First World War. Over 300 pupils from 11 local primary schools competed in the annual Talkin Tarn Cross Country event on Friday, 9th November. On Friday 2nd November, we held our first of three sports events planned for the current school year. From Monday to Wednesday this week, most of Year 5 visited Robinwood activity centre near Alston. We had lots of opportunities to practice our core school values of respect, responsibility and resilience over the three days. Today was World Thinking Day and some of our pupils came to school in their Rainbow, Brownie, Beavers, and Cubs uniform. The Brownies and Rainbows presented an assembly with their leaders.
Year 6 have been studying World War II. They were given a project for homework and did exceptionally well researching the topic; creating pictures; and making marvellous cakes out of rationed ingredients.
