Welcome to Team Bear – Year 4

Our teacher is Miss Nattrass

What is your name?  Anna Nattrass

What class do you teach? I teach Year 4, our class is called Team Bear.

How long have you worked at Longtown Primary School? I have worked at Longtown Primary School for 8 years. I have worked in Years 1, 2 and 4.

What would the children be surprised to find out about you? I have 3 children, all boys and 2 of them are identical twins!

What makes a ‘good’ day at Longtown Primary School? Anything that is Christmas themed! The run up to Christmas at Longtown is magical. Full of magic and excitement. From nativities, crafts, Christmas books, church visits – it is the best time of year.

What is the best thing about being a teacher? Making a safe, happy place for all children to be themselves. When children try new experiences and show amazement and wonder.

What wisdom would you pass on to the children in your class? Everything happens for a reason.

Things to remember:

  • PE Kits should be kept in school so they are always available when needed. They will be sent home during the school holidays for washing. Please make sure all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
  • Children should bring a named water bottle to school each day. Bottles can be refilled with water in school throughout the day.
  • Weekly spellings will be set on Spelling Shed. Children can use the games and activities on Spelling Shed to practise their words at home.

Reading at Home
Please encourage your child to read at least five times each week. Regular reading at home makes a huge difference to children’s fluency, confidence and understanding.
