Our teacher is Miss Harrison
What is your name? Danielle Harrison
What class do you teach? I teach Year 1, our class is called Team Squirrel.
How long have you worked at Longtown Primary School? I am excited to join the team for my first year at Longtown. I have completed my first year of teaching at another CET school in Kendal.
What would the children be surprised to find out about you? I am actually a twin sister – so there are two Miss Harrisons!
What makes a ‘good’ day at Longtown Primary School? When all the children have big smiles on their faces, and are excited to learn and play with their friends.
What is the best thing about being a teacher? The best thing about teaching is getting to know each child, and building a great relationship with them. I love learning along-side the children.
What wisdom would you pass on to the children in your class? Even a small act of kindness can make a huge difference.

Things to remember:
- PE days Monday and Fridays. Named PE kits to be kept in school. Kits will be sent home for washing during school holidays.
- Library visit – Friday afternoon.
- Water bottles and a healthy snack for break time: milk and fruit are provided during the day.
- Listening to your child read and helping them practice their letter sounds at home will really help them in their learning journey. A little every day goes a long, long way.
