On Friday 9th November, we held an afternoon tea to commemorate the 100 year anniversary since the end of the First World War.
As a school, every year group produced a poppy alongside some artwork and writing to remember the fallen. This is displayed in our hall.
We were very proud to welcome Veterans from the Marines, Scots Guards, Air Force and the Navy to celebrate with us and share their experiences plus two serving Scots Guards who came across from Catterick Garrison. We were also joined by a very special 95-year-old lady who served in the Women’s Auxillary Service during WW2.
The children have enjoyed learning about the sacrifices made by men and women during the war, and are very thankful for their efforts.
We will remember them, today and always.
