This is a profoundly sad moment for the whole country and indeed the world.
Finally, we are able to set a date for welcoming the children back to school.
As I am sure you are aware, demand for places within our Critical Worker and vulnerable children Hub provision is growing and I feel it is important to share openly with you our rationale.
After last night’s announcements it is important I share with you an update on the current situation at school. Longtown Primary School is now a HUB school, it is open for the most vulnerable pupils and the children of key workers.
Following my communication with you yesterday, I want to update you and let you know that we will open only for the most vulnerable pupils and the children of key workers on Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th January.
I hope you and your families are safe and well at this time and you have had a peaceful Christmas and New Year.
We are looking forward to re-opening fully to all students in September.
